101 Copenhagen® Brutus Stool Oak - Coffee

Crisp edges meet a gently curved seat in the Brutus Stool Oak Coffee, a solid oak stool inspired by mid-century Brutalist architecture. Originally introduced in fibre concrete, the design has been reimagined in FSC-certified American red oak, bringing visible grain and a warm coffee-brown finish to its architectural form. The curve of the seat softens the defined lines of the frame, while the darker finish gives the compact piece a grounded presence. Set beside a low chair or against a hallway wall, its profile is clear enough to stand on its own.

Design Details

• Handmade from solid FSC-certified American red oak.

• Coffee-brown finish that leaves the timber grain visible.

• Gently curved seat set against crisp, architectural lines.

Why It Works

• Dark oak adds depth alongside pale plaster, natural linen and lighter timbers.

• The curved seat picks up softer forms in a room with straight-lined joinery.

• Its 30 cm depth gives it a compact footprint beside an armchair or along a hallway wall.

FAQs

What are the dimensions and weight of the Brutus Stool?
It measures 54 cm long × 30 cm wide × 60 cm high and weighs 8 kg. If you’re choosing it as extra seating or to sit beside an armchair, compare its height with the nearby furniture.

Will the oak grain and colour vary?
Yes. The grain and tone can vary from piece to piece, and the oak may develop a deeper patina over time.

How should I clean the oak finish?
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For a deeper clean, wipe gently along the grain with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Wipe spills promptly and avoid excess water, abrasive cleaners and silicone-based polishes.
