Broste® Cushion Dora - Taupe Warm Grey/Light Blue 50cm

The Dora cushion from Broste Copenhagen combines a warm taupe cotton ground with oversized embroidered floral forms in soft blue and ivory. The broad, simplified shapes give the design a slightly graphic Scandinavian character, while the embroidery introduces a more tactile surface against the woven cotton base. Filled with a Danish-made feather and down inner, the 50 × 50 cm cushion has a fuller, softer profile that suits relaxed sofa and armchair settings. Its muted palette works particularly well alongside timber, linen, boucle and other natural-textured materials.

Design Details

• Cover: 100% Oeko-Tex certified cotton with large-scale embroidered floral detailing.
• Inner: Danish-made feather cushion inner with 20% down and 80% duck feather in a 100% down-proof cotton case.
• Proportion: 50 × 50 cm square format with a soft, full profile.

Why It Works

• The taupe, pale blue and ivory palette adds pattern without introducing strong colour contrast.
• Embroidered forms bring depth and texture alongside smoother materials such as leather, timber or plain woven upholstery.
• The larger floral motif gives the cushion enough visual presence to sit on its own or anchor a more layered cushion arrangement.
