Kristina Dam® Japanese Side Table - Warm

The Kristina Dam Japanese Side Table – Warm is defined by a quiet, architectural form that puts material and proportion at the forefront. Crafted from oiled oak veneer and solid oak, its warm timber grain is offset by a gently faceted surface, precise detailing and a subtly elevated base that gives the solid silhouette a sense of lightness. The restrained geometry draws on Japanese and Scandinavian design principles, making it a natural companion to linen, stone, ceramics and other tactile materials. Compact and sculptural, it can sit beside a sofa or bed, or be used as a low pedestal for a considered object or vessel.

Design Details

• Oiled oak construction — Oak veneer and solid oak bring natural grain, warmth and subtle variation to the surface.
• Reduced geometric form — Clean planes and balanced proportions give the table a calm, architectural presence.
• Refined detailing — A gently faceted top and slightly raised base soften the otherwise substantial silhouette.

Why It Works

• The warm oak tone sits comfortably alongside neutral upholstery, natural stone, wool and softly textured fabrics.
• Its block-like form provides a useful visual counterpoint to curved seating, organic ceramics and more fluid shapes.
• Works particularly well as a side table, bedside table or low display pedestal where its material and proportions can remain visible.

FAQs

What is the Kristina Dam Japanese Side Table made from?
It is crafted from a combination of oiled oak veneer and solid oak, balancing natural timber character with a clean, controlled finish.

Will the timber colour and grain vary?
Yes. Oak is a natural material, so variations in grain, tone and figuring are expected and form part of the character of each piece.

How should I care for the oiled oak finish?
Wipe with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth and remove spills promptly. Avoid abrasive cleaners, excessive moisture and prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight to help preserve the timber finish.
