Founded in Denmark in 1942, Sika-Design has built its identity around rattan furniture and the enduring possibilities of natural materials. The family-owned company works across its own archive and licensed designs by figures including Arne Jacobsen, Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel, Franco Albini and Franca Helg, preserving pieces that sit comfortably between Scandinavian design history and contemporary interiors.

Rattan remains central to the collection. Unlike hollow bamboo, rattan is a solid vine that can be steamed and bent into sculptural forms, allowing Sika-Design’s furniture to combine lightness of appearance with strength and durability. Much of the indoor collection is handcrafted from carefully selected natural rattan, giving each chair, table and decorative piece a tactile quality and subtle variation of its own.
